What’s New in 2026
The Open Education Conference is now organized under the Open Education Association, a national membership organization for people who create, use, and advocate for open educational resources and practices. Membership in the Open Education Association is how the field builds collective strength — connecting practitioners, supporting advocacy, and giving members a voice in where the association goes next.
Members receive a discounted conference registration rate of $90, available anytime before the conference. Learn more about joining the association, or select the Registration + Membership bundle when you register. Though the association’s work focuses in the U.S., the conference remains fully international, governed by a community-elected board and open to attendees from anywhere in the world.
Also new this year is a contributed papers track, developed in partnership with the Journal for Open Educational Resources in Higher Education. Accepted papers will be published as conference proceedings following open peer review in time for Open Education Week next year.
Register today and we’ll see you online in October!
