How to Get Involved in the National Priorities Process

Last month we kicked off the Open Education National Priorities Process, a collaborative effort for making open education an integral part of solving education’s most pressing challenges. As open educational resources and practices continue to grow across institutions and states, it is time to take open education to the next level nationally.

This fall, we are inviting everyone across the open education field, no matter your role, how long you have been involved, or which networks you are part of, to contribute ideas for what we can collectively take on and advocate for on the national stage.

Join or Host a Listening Session

Help brainstorm the challenges facing education and how open solves them. Join us on Sep.17 and Oct.14, attend a session hosted by one of our collaborators, or host your own.

Submit to the Idea Board

Check out the national priority ideas already generated and submit your own. This will be updated throughout the fall, so check back to upvote and comment as ideas evolve.

Attend the National Summit - Apply by September 14

The Open Education National Summit on Nov. 10-12 will bring together representatives from across the field in Chicago to choose final priorities. Travel scholarships are available.
